Michigan Racing Update – BTR recap & Upcoming races               

BTR CRITERIUM RECAP

The latest event in the season long Michigan Challenge took place this past Saturday, the BTR Criterium in Kalamazoo.

Once again racing was ALL OUT!!!   The Michigan Challenge series standings have been updated and I can tell you, each category is very close!

Men Pro I/II – Nate Williams (Bissell) leads Dan Lam (Priority) by only 15.5 points

How about the Women I/II, Sarah Demerly (Wolverine) leads Alicia Trevino (MPI-Main St) by only 3.5 points!!!  Will we see MPI-MainSt team captain, Karey Collins lining up at the Fenton to deliver her young protégé to the victory??? 

LATEST UPDATE – the prizes for this years category champions are going to be these very cool custom wheel bags that state “2010 Michigan Challenge Series Champion”.   I should have a mockup very soon. 

You’ll definitely want to get out and race for these babies!!!! 

UPCOMING RACES

This coming weekend, Saturday/Sunday, July 24/25 is a Genesee County DOUBLE-HEADER! 

Saturday, July 24th is the famous MAILLOT JAUNE ROAD RACE.  This race is part of the Michigan Challenge and features a 13 mile circuit with the famous DENTON HILL, M-23 Hump-N-Bump, and the LIVESTRONG climbs!  Roads are classified as “Michigan”, so plan accordingly for sections of rough pavement.

Sunday, July 25th is the “Le Champion Pave” Criterium in downtown Flint.  This race is held on a downtown circuit of 1.1 miles through the city and over the Flint River.
